Two-Dimensional artwork allows me the opportunity to create with artistic precision and increase my skill set.
My goal is not to “impress” or
to “prove” but simply to
improve my craftsmanship.

About
My name is Kevin F. McCoy
My artwork reflects upon both history and has a commercial aspect to it.
My Grandfather spent twenty years in the United States Army Air Service.
I also had five Uncles in the Second World War and one in the Korean War.
Many a weekend and holiday were spent listening to their “War Stories”.
Surrounded as I was by history and connected to it through my family,
I often choose history as a subject matter for my artwork. I prefer to create
a face, a landscape, a moment in time or even a cartoon to help connect the viewer to history or an idea.
Having worked as an Editorial Cartoonist for almost fifteen years, I’ve also come to discover an understanding of commercial art as well as a love for the clean lines and visual charm of cartoons, illustrations and their impact on society through mass communication. I believe artwork in general and editorial cartoons in particular, can alter a viewer’s perception of various subjects. Whether it be politics, healthcare or history, artists have an ability to draw attention to
(no pun intended) and creatively interpret various ideas.
